Press release: strategic merger between Barcodis and E-Dentic

E-Dentic has already been in business for over 20 years... How time flies!

These two decades have been marked by constant progress, days full of discoveries, wonderful encounters and unforgettable moments. Throughout this period, we've managed to preserve the creative spirit, sense of service and respect for the customer that are the hallmarks of E-Dentic.

When we started out, it wasn't easy to establish ourselves in a market where the players were well established and were apprehensive about the arrival of our company, which was then perceived as an outsider in the barcode market. Our first success, the launch of the SYMBOL / MOTOROLA range, was made possible thanks to the support of David Faregeton, Alloin's CIO at the time.

Driven by an innovative and disruptive spirit, we quickly explored the integration of video in customer relations. That's how, 15 years ago, we launched France's first video-tracking solution, becoming market leader in 2024. Since then, we have developed solutions for digitising gestures using Beacon technologies, real-time data modelling software for platform management, and many other innovations.

Over the years, we've followed a clearly defined course: to bring innovation to logistics and share our vision of a respectful customer relationship, while valuing the employees in the supply chain. We've been lucky enough to meet some extraordinary people who have believed in our vision and helped make our projects a reality. Thanks to their support, we have been able to demonstrate that our ideas have a real raison d'être.

However, we have also learned that success brings challenges. When our solutions proved effective, our competitors followed our example and our customers expressed the need to rely on larger partners. Faced with this reality, we decided it was time to take the next step.

We are therefore delighted to announce our strategic alliance with the Barcodis group, brilliantly led by Fabrice Coevet, a long-standing friend who introduced me to the world of barcodes 30 years ago. Under his leadership, Barcodis has grown from €7 million to €50 million in sales in just 10 years, and we firmly believe that together we can go even further.

This merger gives us access to commercial and technical resources that are virtually unrivalled in our market, and enables us to offer our customers a group worth €60 million, with a target of €100 million over the next five years, strengthening our position as market leader.
Barcodis has a strong presence in industry, with a wide range of complementary equipment and services, particularly in printing and labelling. Thanks to this merger, we will be the only player in the market to offer a complete range of identification solutions, meeting our customers' growing expectations for a single partner covering the entire supply chain and services.

E-Dentic will of course retain its unique DNA, and our team will continue to drive the business with the same passion and determination to develop and implement ever more innovative solutions.

Today marks an important milestone, and we would like to extend our warmest thanks to everyone who has contributed to this adventure. We look forward to working with Barcodis on this new chapter, and are confident that together we can go even further.
