The inversion errors are avoided thanks to the use of connected picking.

The principle is simple: the operator goes to the location indicated on his terminal and automatically validates the socket of the parcel/product in the right place thanks to real-time capture by the presence detector. The IT flow is therefore perfectly synchronised with the physical flow: the operator is unable to validate his picking action beforehand

Hands-free connected picking contributes to theimprovement working comfort for operational staff and reduction in MSDs. Logistics agents are less constrained in their validation activities (which are carried out automatically) and are able to refocus on their preparation activities.

Positioned on either side of dock doors, Beacons reduce the volume of the process applied by forklift operators. Automated recording of the passage under the dock door replaces the scanning of the dock door during loading. 

In this way, the operator can concentrate solely on driving, following a simplified process:

  • Entering the pallet and reading the barcode
  •  Passing through the platform door
  • Validation of passage by dockside beacon, improved traceability

Positioned on either side of the dock doors, the Beacons enable better traceability of the flows operated by the forklift operators. By automatically recording the passage of forklift trucks under the dock doors, all loading can be validated reliably and in real time.

As a result, the operator can concentrate solely on driving, following a simplified process:

  • Entering the pallet and reading the barcode
  •  Passing through the platform door
  • Validation of passage by dockside beacon, improved traceability
  • Operators focused on driving Connectivity of loading gestures reduces accidents by preventing the use of terminals while driving. As forklift drivers do not have to keep track of their loads (thanks to beacons), they can concentrate solely on driving.
  • No movement outside the trolley: The connectivity of loading gestures helps to improve operator comfort. Throughout the process, forklift drivers remain correctly seated in their vehicles. This safety feature helps to prevent musculoskeletal pain caused by repeated twisting and parasitic movements, as well as reducing the impact of collisions between two forklift drivers (wearing of seatbelts, no driver leaning over, etc.).

Beacons can be used to improve the traceability of flows at the dock, and also to guarantee greater safety around the flow of forklift drivers in warehouses. The process-free nature of this technology (no scanning required at the dock) means that operators can concentrate solely on driving, which in turn ensures that traffic rules are properly applied on site.

Implementing dockside beacons enables a 3-step process (2 of which are self-managed by the dockside beacons):
